Martin (Marty)'s Story
Life
After graduation from high school, I attended college (where I met my wife) and then I went on through law school. After college, my wife eventually became a world class opera singer and had a 22 year long major international operatic career.
As for me, I was recruited out of law school and after two years on the West Coast, the company moved us to NYC. I eventually became Vice-President of Columbia Artists in NYC and after 12 years there, left and joined a firm which produced Musicals for Broadway. After two years there, I decided to leave the entertainment business entirely.
I became one of the 5 founders of a high tech company designing and manufacturing the world's fastest supercomputer (one of only 5 such manufacturers in the world). At the same time, I was also a consultant to the Mayor's Office in NYC. After two years, my wife and I decided to return to Los Angeles, and build our new home. We had very much enjoyed our nearly 15 years in NYC.
Upon returning to L.A., I started a consulting company (turning around failing companies. Through this consulting company, I was introduced to many aerospace companies. This in turn eventually lead to my selling military jet engine parts to 27 foreign governments (their military and I did this for several years. Eventually, I tired of the constant travel involved.

chise) to keep myself occupied (it is now ranked in the top 250 centers in total sales out of 4500 centers of this franchise, worldwide). Simultaneously, I was recruited to be on the Board of Directors of Holy Cross Hospital.
My wife retired from her singing career and now teaches voice at the University of Southern California (USC), California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and also privately at her home/studio.
I have been elected to and my biography appears in seven international "Who's Who" publications including "Who's Who in Finance and Industry", Who's Who in America, "Directory of Distinguished Americans", "Who Who in the World", "Who's Who in the East", "Who's Who in the West", and "Who's Who in California".
In addition, two articles, in New York newspapers, have written articles about my business succeses.
I have now been invited to become a Board of Directors member of a "green" company. Our company rents hybrid (ONLY) vehicles at 8 airport locations in the west and we expect to have nationwide airport locations within months.
Aside from mentoring start up compnies, I also give seminars at universities in Southern California on the subject, "The business side of a music career". There are no classes or books on this subject, so students desiring music performance careers never learn about doing business as a music professional until they are thrown into it headlong, with no background on how and what is expected of them.
