Starla's Story
After graduation, I worked at various jobs. Five days before I married, I began working at Safeway, where I worked for 10 long years. When I turned 30, I retired and began college. Currently, I am a middle school teacher at Crescent Elk ( I had the daunting challenge of replacing Mr. Anderson, some of you may have had him as your history teacher.) This year marked my tenth year in the profession and I am loving every minute of my experience.

for 26 years to Jim Lund, who is also a teacher at our rival school, Redwood. I have two beautiful children. Our oldest, Tinessa, is 21 and attending Chico State. She aspires to be a speech therapist. Our youngest, Bryce, is 19 and attending Butte College. He is undecided about his future career, but wants a job where he can make tons of money and have plenty of time off to surf and go to our cabin in Trinity Center. I guess he doesn't want to be a teacher like his parents.
