Steed's Story

How do you condense your life into a couple of paragraphs without being self-aggrandizing or self-deprecating? My life has been a crooked path that crossed back and forth over that line that separates doing what you want to do from doing what you have to. Over the years I have had to file on my taxes the following occupations: Journalist Graphic Artist Musician Roadie (actually we preferred Lighting Technicians) Songwriter Real Estate Agent All sorts of computer-related jobs Looking at the list of occupations, it doesn't seem as varied as it did in my head. live for a while. I have taken a day job as an I.T. Director for a couple of printing companies. I hope to also use this down time to straighten up my catalog and get back into songwriting (my true passion). I am currently married to a woman that is better than I deserve. She's an artist/publicist with a warm heart, a beautiful smile and the patience of a saint. We have no kids (by choice - it just didn't fit our lifestyle). That's probably as condensed and objective as I can be about my own life. It is what it is. I've had a lot of fun getting to this point, but more than anything I'm shocked I made it this far. Who knew? I didn't have anything planned after 40. Now that I'm all grown up I guess I will have to figure out what I want to do.
