Life
Ok here goes. Joined the Air Force in 1978. Was on active duty from 1978 to 1982. I worked on the B-52G bomber aircraft as a technician. Spent many days on Nuclear alert. I had a nude centerfold of Breshnev on my wall in the barracks. This was the worst time of my life. Got out followed a beautiful redhead I met in Shreveport , LA to Louisiana Technical University. Stayed there 2 years. Majored in poverty, and minored in drinking beer and chasing southern belles. Best time in my life. Danced like a fool to Disco and went to college football games .The redhead never panned out.
Went to CSU in 1985, watched the Broncos hundreds of times with my dad before he died in 1993. I still have dreams of Elway and me partying at the Ram at CSU. Its like an alien abduction dream only we are drinking MGDs and talking about "The Drive". Manning sucks so does his brother. Met my wife at CSU on a beautiful snowy January night in Fort Collins in 1985. We are still together. She is by far the best thing that could have happened to me.
Graduated from CSU and moved to San Diego then Washington State.
Joined the reserves at March AFB and worked on the KC-10A.
Joined the reserves at Mcchord Air Force base and flew on the C-141B/C Aircraft as a flight engineer . Performed during desert storm, Somalia, Rawanda, Cambodia, 9/11, Afaghanistan, Iraq . Have flown 1500 times and amassed 4000 hours. Drank beer on every continent except Antarctic. Saw the New Zealand alps, the Rock of gibraltar from 10,000 feet, pyramids, high deserts of Bolivia, the Amazon, the Andes, lake Victoria, mount Kilimanjoro, Mount Fugi, Aires rock, etc. etc. etc. Drove a 1.9 liter Audi A4 turbo diesel on the autobahn at 230 kilometers per hour from Frankfurt to Munich. Traded socks and a shirt for wood carvings in Kenya. Ate the best steak i had ever had in Australia. Ate seal meat in Norway ( the grossest thing I have ever tasted.) I mean what is the point!!! Found out my lineage goes back to Col. Daniel Brodhead. He fought at the battle of Long Island during the revolutionary war. He also wintered with Washington at Valley Forge. I feel like LT. Dan, only I have just lost my sanity, or maybe found my sanity?? I got an A in sociology 1o1 for just showing up.

Started an auto repair business in 1995 which is still going.
I still have our house in Peppler additon (66 and Hover). Danny Koldeway rebricked it and it looks fantastic. My nephew and I resanded the oak hardwoods and installed white vinyl grid windows too. I had just gotten off of 18 months serving in Germany and Iraq. I spent August 15th to September 15th 2004 in Longmont. Ate at Aunt Alices kitchen every day, and bothered the locals. Me and Jim Baker got drunk in old town FC. What a great town. It was a great transition from the war and 20 years of pegging the fun meter. The meter is pegged and the glass face is broken. It is getting better though. I am starting to camp, fish and watch "The Simpsons"again. 20 years flying on airplanes violates nature. I have seen most every 3rd world country or its clone out there. The US is by far the best place to live . Well accept for Mcdonalds, and Gas hogs. We are definately the biggest energy consumers on the face of the earth. Getting into BIO diesel!!!!
Now at 45, wish I had some children. Trying to figure out what I am supposed to be doing with the rest of my life. We do give to charity etc. I still drive 20 year old BMW and live in a modest house. I have found the joy of taking care of a lawn. I drink very rarely.
I need to lose 20 lbs, but have no bald spots, and all my teeth. I am now 6 foot 220 . I wish I was skinny. My wife and I live in Hillsboro, Oregon. I havent caught a chinook yet.
Retired from the Reserves January 2006 .I couldnt continue to leave my wife at home while I went from air field to airfield and hotel to hotel and deal with greater than thow pilots etc. . I played the role of airman from 1978 to 2006. I served my country through the Cold war, 2 wars and several humantitarian events. I have had enough, and can no longer play second fiddle to Zeros and NCOs.
I Started investing in real estate 1991 in the Seattlle area. Now I am up to 10 rental properties. Considering exit strategy before Democratic Socialists raise capital gains to pay for ridiculous medicare and socialized medicine. I am renewing my passport and looking into a summer home in New Zealand. Volunteered for Duncan Hunter for president in 2007. Running for U.S. Congress Oregons first district 2010.
