Live in the beautiful awesome country of Texas! We own a small ranch w/ 2 horses, 3 house dogs, 2 barn cats & 2 tropical fish tanks. Own 4 trucks, 2 Dodge Rams, 1 08' Tundra TRD offroad crew max (thats my new toy my husband bought me) and his old classic 70' Chevy pick up. Also own a rent house in Corpus Christi Tx. and a condo in San Antonio Tx & just purchased another condo in Sapphire NC. Love the Smokey Mnts. Am a grandmother of a baby boy born 8-07, and our newest grandbaby born Jan 15th 09' ...it's a girl! Kiddo is my 26 yr. old (step) daughter, my family does NOT belive in the word step. My father just passed away 11-07 ( on my wedding anniv.) pretty much tore my heart & world to shreds loosing daddy. Work for a small animal vet, same job for almost 12 yrs. been in this field of work about 20 years now. I dabble in horse genetics research, unique & rare colors & breeds. My personal horses are my retired Quarter Horse & my Peruvian Paso.I also still have ties to my Paint horses & as of May 2nd, have a new filly on the ground. My dogs are a Boxer, a Boston ( Terror) & a Cattle dog mix.
We travel alot, just got back from NC, heading to NM in August & down to San Antonio in Dec. Planning a cruise for 09' & a trip back to the NC mountians in...Expand for more
fall of 09' for the colorful leaf change. We also take the RV out on weekends for camping trips or the boat out for fishing or just fun on the lake. Love heading down to my mom's & her husbands ( my 2nd dad) lake house for some fishing & hanging with the family. Love being outdoors, no matter if it's yardwork, cleaning the barn or goofing off.
My addictions are tanning,watching movies,goofing off,traveling,camping & boating. My 2 horses I have now are 100% retired due to age & health problems. They have more than earned their rest. The Quarter Horse is a former reining,playday performance horse turned trail horse in his later years & gave me many great miles under the saddle. The Peruvian was retired from the show ring at age 14 & spent the next 4-5 years as my last trail horse. I am thinking of getting a new riding horse, still on the fence at the moment on that.I do have a "Loaner" horse that belongs to a friend she lets me ride when we want to go on the trails.
My new hobby is redecorating my house, my goal is to have this house 100% western/rustic style by end of 2009. We are pulling up the carpet & putting down stone tile, new western artwork on the walls & all new leather,cowhide & rustic wood furniture & decor. So far so good, the bed room & living room are almost complete. Next is the dining room.
