Stephanie's Story
Life
I relocated from the Bronx to Southern California in March of 1996. There I met up with my friend of many years, also my then-fiancé, Robert. That October, we returned to the Bronx, and were married in St. Clare's Church. We've been enjoying the more relaxed lifestyle and mild weather out here.
Over the past eleven years we've done a lot of traveling: Aruba, Cancun, Las Vegas (it's was so close to California that it was easy to keep visiting and I admit I have love rolling the dice at the crap table) -- visited Hawaii (Kauai and Maui), Washington State, Utah, and all over the vast State of CA (there's a lot to see out here). We've been to Mexico several times (Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta and Cancun). Our children have come with us to many of these locations and are now seasoned travelers...
Rob and I have a son, Benjamin Tyler, who turned six years old in January 2008. We also have a daughter, Kaitlin Rose, who will be four years old on May 13, 2008.
After 11 years in Southern California, we moved (in September 2007) to North Carolina, just in time for our son to start kindergarten. Although we've totally enjoyed living in Los Angeles these years, the time is right for the change and we now live close to my b...Expand for more
rother-in-law and family (so the cousins will grow up together -- they are all around the same age).
My hobbies and interests include: time with our family, reading, watercolor painting, swing dancing (jitterbug), traveling, visting museums, attending "broadway" musicals/plays, gardening and handicapping the Triple Crown races. About five years ago, I took an interest in beading: I do peyote, brick stitch, right angle weave (also french beaded flowers)-- and even played around with PMC and flamework. I make unique jewelry, working beadstitching with pearls, crystals and semi-precious stones. I wear the stuff I make and do this for the challenge and the fun of learning new things.
Life is as good as you make it. Mine keeps getting better... My best to all of you.
College
After graduating high school, I spent ten weeks in Ireland. When I returned, I went to The Berkley School in midtown Manhattan. There I completed my courses and received an Associate Degree in Applied Secretarial Sciences in March of 1985. I worked through and until 1990, at which time I went back to school, this time at the Stenotype Academy in lower Manhattan. I graduated with another Associate Degree in 1992 after completing my studies and internship.
