Stephanie's Story
After graduation in 1975, I moved to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan Art School. Four event full years later I left school and moved to Dallas Texas where I did a very short stint working for my father building houses.
In the summer of 1980 I took a position with Southwestern Bell Telephone as an Outside Plant Technician; this was just a special summer job opportunity for college students. By the fall of 1980 I was working for GTE as a Customer Services Specialist (Telephone Lady).

s a Network Specialist III. (All a far cry from the dream of being a Medical Illustrator; I continue to draw for leisure).
I bought my home in 1989 and served as the neighborhood organization President for two long years (enough of community service!) I also mentor neighborhood grade school kids with their science fair projects (lemon batteries, sound waves etc...) They always seem to teach me more.
I love the Austin area for its variety of things to do from music / theatre / art to all types of outdoors sports and activities on land and water; dining, dancing ... I hope to retire here in the next few years. My plan is to keep Austin as my base and to travel.
