Stephanie's Story
I have been on a terrific journey. Right out of high school I started a family and moved to Oregon. I lived in a quaint little place called Sisters. While experiencing Oregon I was involved in many things. I started quilting, became an EMT/firefighter and joined a modern dance troop. I also started teaching dance and doll and quilt making. I took classes in clowning and became Twinkle Toes the dancing clown.
After a divorce I became a dental assistant and remarried. We moved to Anchorage Alaska in 1987 and started a dental practice there. The growing practice took so much time that I scaled down to just quilting. The quilting exploded into new and wonderful things where my work was published and I won many contests. When 1989 rolled around I had my third child.

years I would experience a world of children's rights in the school system as I battled the system for a child with Torrette Syndrome. After some time we decided home school would be best. This opened a new door to a wonderful journey of learning and patience.
In 2001 I divorced and returned to Oregon. I went back to school and studied fine arts. I moved back to Alaska in 2005 to be close to my new grandson. He and I have great fun in a 5 year old imaginary world. I work so that I can play as much as possible. Quilting is now passed on to my daughter who is a spectacular artist in her own style. I fill my fun time with painting and drawing in the abstract, or adventuring in the world of Ever Quest Two and making costumes.
I have been blessed to live a very full life.
