My Job
I manage the environmental compliance and other environmental issues for my company's plants in the western region, which is about 22 sites in WA, OR, CA, AZ, ID and Utah. I love my job. It's never the same day twice and it never gets boring. It's more of a combination of engineering, business, law and science than having anything to do with tree hugging. roducts: concrete sewer pipe, roof tile and structural precast, which is basically the "pieces" that fit together to make structures like parking garages and buildings like that. I deal with the air, stormwater and wastewater permitting and reporting, waste management and disposal, fuel storage tanks, etc, and on-site construction projects, and acquisition stuff. Definitely not what I thought I'd be doing when I grew up!
