Stephen's Story
I work for the U.S. Department of State and live in Northern Virginia (Springfield)...just outside the Beltway. I have three children: Barret -- 18 y/o, a freshment at West Virginia University majoring in music performance; Elysse -- 16 y/o a sophmore in high school, a talented artist with interests in Japanese and science; and Gareth -- 12 y/o, a highly talented percussionist and tae kwon do black belt in the 7th grade. I am recently divorced after being married almost 20 years.

the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency, working on negotiations in Geneva associated with the START and INF Treaties. Afterwards, I began work in nuclear nonproliferation, working mainly with the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, and on issues related to Iran and DPRK. I rarely travel domestically, but I travel overseas alot. Most of the time I go to Vienna, but usually once a year I hit Tokyo, Canberra, BA, Brasilia, London, Paris, Bonn/Berlin, Seoul, and Luxembourg as well. I might go to Pretoria this year, too. I chair an interagency committee that has representatives from OSD, JCS, DOC, DOE, NRC, CIA, and other agencies as needed.
