Stephen's Story
Post High School I attended BYU until I served a mission in Bolivia. Next I went back to school and later married and went active duty Army. In 1975 I went back to BYU where I finished two degrees. Worked for awhile as an FNP but missed active duty life and went back to the Army as nurse, APHN and did a little of everything medical. I retired in September 2000 and settled in Utah. in San Antonio and also did post graduate work at Tulane and University of Michigan/Anne Arbor.
After leaving the military became a medical director for a 501C3 in SLC until I went to work in 2006 at the Army’s Dugway Proving Ground where I am still employed in 2021. I am the Army Public Health Nurse for the Utah Clinics, an Occupational Health Nurse, and manage the Pharmacy for Dugway.
To keep healthy I raise Sheep....about 100 head to include Icelandic Sheep. Good stress relief.
