Pastor Stephen's Story

I always wanted to be a Radio Announcer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that it was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right as always. One of the ways that I can truly get away from all the stresses of being a Pastor is to grab my fishing pole, go to a beautiful pond or lake, and just cast away. To see all of the things God has created, not to mention, silence, it really helps me relax and be thankful that I'm alive. The wildest thing that I did in school was unscrewing the caps on the salt and pepper shakers in the cafeteria, not to mention loosening the caps of ketchup and mustard bottles and laugh till my sides hurt when someone used them and had all the contents of those items come out on their food. I've repented for all that now, so if you were hurt by that, or had to buy a new lunch, please accept my deepest apologies. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have prayer, God's Word, and a good cup of Java to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero, first and foremost is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who by His wonderful and marvelous grace, saved me from a terrible life of sin, and has now allowed me to tell others everyday of His saving grace. Secondly, my parents and their unfailing love for me, and then my beautiful wife Karen, who is the Wind Beneath my Wings, along with my two no...Expand for more
w grown kids. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Tammy Cundiff, because I need to ask her to forgive me for the hurt that I may have caused her. Being alive and being able to talk about is more than I ever dreamed that I would be able to do. It would really be great to visit with my Choir teacher and Speech teacher, they truly helped me in many ways, in fact, more than what words could say. If I won $100 million, I'd give 20 percent of it to the Church, then spend the rest on orphins, widows and family. To be truly happy, I look forward to being in Heaven, and sitting at the feet of Jesus, enjoying all its splenders. My current age is 50. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. My real first crush at Huntington North broke my heart and started dating someone else, I think that they eventually got married. I share my home with my wife, which I find very pleasurable. In 10 years, I hope to be still preaching. I'm going to get there by prayer and faithfulness. What would probably surprise everyone is that I'm still alive to talk about things. My first job was at A & W, which is now, B & K, where I got paid .97 cents to .97 cents. What I remember most about it is the food, the pretty girls and oh yeah, the cold frosty mugs of A & W Root Beer.
