Stephen's Story

None of you readers will actually remember me from Edgewood as I only attended there for two weeks before resigning. I had attended Del Norte School for seven years where I had a deal with principal Peter Masonas allowing me to wear my hair as long as I wanted in exchange for good grades. Edgewood's Vice Principal Bill "Hair Lipped" Gates pulled me aside on freshman orientation day and told me that the old deal wouldn't work with him and to cut my hair or else. une shortly before the start of classes in 1966. I was humiliated by the loss of face and told Gates to get f___ed. Then I hitch hiked to the corner of Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco with a friend, Mark Tatman of Los Alamitos where my adult life began at age 14. I eventually did get a diploma from an adult school and tucked away some college and trade school. I made a fortune manufacturing and selling moonshine whiskey in Norteastern British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. I'm now more or less retired as a real estate investor, having exceeded the expectations of those who knew me.
