Stephen Darby:  

Stephen's schools include Aiken High School. Stephen later attended Miami University. Stephen works(ed) at Retired - 42 years in Education. I chose to attend Aiken instead of staying at Woodward and have always been proud to have made that choice. While at Aiken I was Chaplain of the Hi-Y, President of Future Teachers of America, Vice President of our Class (what a campaign that was), member of our Band, remember playing in the orchestra for "Brigadoon", one of the Captains of the Football team, a captain of the track team, and Athlete of the Year as a Senior. I went to Miami University, played football, broke a leg, had blood clots in leg, heart and lungs,almost died, had to quit, then came back as a coach under the great Bo Schembechler. While doing my student teaching, I coached Aiken's reserve football team under Coach Dick Kerins' assistance and we won the city competition. I graduated with an education degree and later received my masters at Xavier in Educational Administration. We moved to Adams County to serve a small country church and attend Seminary.
