Stephen's Story
Life
Have played piano since age 9, guitar since age 16 and bass since age 18. My musical tastes include rock, classical, show tunes and polkas. Played in rock bands during the 1980's. Have travelled to UK, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland and Russia. US destinations include FL, TX, AR, AZ, UT, CA, NV, HI, ID, WY, OH, VT, MO, IL and IN. Took French in high school and forgot most of it. Taught myself some Polish around 1985.
College
Lived in Femoyer Hall all 4 years. Played intramural softball on the Drill Field, and volleyb...Expand for more
all at the Newman House. Played bass in the Spirit of Life folk group senior year, and the pianos in Squires Student Center. Ran in the Hunger Hike Run 10K junior and senior years.
Workplace
My job is Patent Examiner. I read patent applications and decide whether an invention is worthy of being patented. I must determine if the invention is useful, novel, unobvious, and sufficiently well described to enable people skilled in the art relating to the invention to use it. I recently won a Bronze Medal award, which means that I had 5 consecutive years of being rated outstanding.
