Life I lived in Virginia when and shortly after graduation! Working for Dee & Bee Grocery and then Henrico Co.School and Road depts! I then moved to Fla. and worked with City Gas & Water Dept. I was drafted into Army and served in Germany in Supply Unit for almost 2 years. When I got out I went back to work for City ( Reading and cleaning water meters). I quit and moved Back to Ill. and worked at a cabinet factory in Shawneetown ( with my brother ) , one of them, ( Had five at the time!! ) . My car and the job played out about the same time. I was un-employed for a time and then worked at Forest Service Planting trees and mowing grass or fighting Wild fires! This to ended and I then went to work as a mechanic/ clean-up man for Glove manufacture in Rosiclare. When this job ended I returned to Forest Service part time and helped measure trees for growth determination! Later working planting trees and mowing and fighting Wild fires again! After about three part time positions with Forest Service I was able to get on Full time! I worked from 1973- 2004 then retired in Dec.04. I worked in Recreation/law enforcement and Timber, with details ( of work ) on other forests and in other States , Mostly fighting fires or fire prevention.
