Stephen's Story
After RHS, I attended architecture school at NJIT and Cooper Union in NY, where I received my architecture degree. I currently hold licenses to practice Architecture in NY and California.
For a time, after graduation and through school, I worked in construction management and architecture in the NY/NJ area and in 1989 began working for the Trump Organization in Atlantic City and then NY. In 1990, I was sent to California to manage the development of a 6 million sq ft mixed use project, but we were the subject of an eminent domain challenge, which took 12 years to resolve.
During the long resolution of the legal matter, I managed our day to day business operations in California as well as the political relations, community relations, and legal team.
Trump had left the project in 1998 and one of the remaining partners invited me to work with him in Europe after the settlement of the matter in 2001.
I have now been living in England since 2002 and work as Group Retail Development Director at a Real Estate...Expand for more
/Retail Development company with operations across Europe and now in China. I manage our Sustainability Project, Intellectual Property Strategy, and advise our Chairman and Senior Management on various management, strategic, and development issues.
As part of my work on sustainability, I have been working with Cambridge University's Institute for Sustainability Leadership. I have completed the Prince of Wales's Business Sustainability Programme and have been involved in the Natural Capital Leaders Programme where, last year, we produced a report on the Sustainability impact of Cotton in the fashion and retail industries. I have also advised on CISL's strategy and in 2015 delivered a presentation to 25 senior government officials from China's Guangdong Province. Additionally, I participated in the development of the World Travel Trade Council's Climate Change report prepared for the COP21 meeting in Paris in December 2015.
Outside of work, my time is committed to my family with two step-children and my son.
