Stephen's Story
I am retired from the Marines and Navy since June, 1985. Served two tours in Viet Nam; one with my big brother, Joe Scalzo, along with my brother Mick in 66, 67 at Chu Lai. Second tour in "dang-nang" in 1972. Got out and went into the Navy as a flight crew member (In Flight Electronics Technician) for 10 years and retired from Hawaii in June, 1985. Spent nearly 10 years in the San Francisco area while on active duty and immediately after retirement. Returned to the filthy, dangerous, and decadent East Coast in December, '89. ars; then as a PGA Club Pro in the Atlantic City area; Harbor Pines, Blue Heron Pines, and Brigantine Golf Links Head Pro in 2002. Finally retired in 2008 and relocated with my 3rd and final wife who is from Chicago, to the "swamp" near Myrtle Beach. Survived 11 years of torrential rain and hurricanes and floods and no sidewalks and then relocated to sunny and WARM Arizona in 2019. Hydrate or die! I miss all of you, my classmates, and hope that we reunite for our 60th graduation anniversary in 2024! Try to stay healthy and happy, my friends, and please.....be anything but ordinary.....
