Stephen's Story

Life I went to Miami Shores Elementary, and then to Horace Mann Jr. High, and on to Miami Edison for a year. Then, after an armed holdup at the 7-eleven across the street from the school, Jim Fox and I were moved to Norland High School. Note: we were the victims, and not the perpetrator! After graduation from Norland, I went to Univ. of Florida in 1971 and was heavily involved in the anti-war movement, and drug dealing. Stopped the drugs about 1974 (never arrested). Started my own successful business in Clearwater Florida in 1977). I'm still a political progressive, and canvassed for Obama after 8 LONG years of a horrible and very ignorant and bully Bush. Now (December 2008) I'm still a member of a bunch of "liberal", progressive and non-religious groups. I've been pretty active. I've designed & hosted some non-profit websites, have been an assistant on a local radio show, and have a couple of internet businesses dealing in some collectibles. I'm also a correspondent (freelance photographer) for a local (Orlando area) newspaper. I've been across the USA a lot, and have also been to Club Med in Cancun & The Turks & Caicos Islands (awesome). Went to Newfoundland in 2006. I attended a media reform conference in St. Louis, whitewater rafting in Denver etc.... I am always busy doing something. I've lived in Orlando since 1995 or so. I'm still single, available, and looking for a great, politically liberal, non-religious, emotionall...Expand for more
y stable / balanced woman to become my intimate friend, my life partner, or my wife. School I enjoyed elementary school. Junior high was okay, and so was Edison High. But I hated Norland high. Then I went to the Univ. of Florida in Gainesville and had the best time of my life! Officially I was there to go to "University college" (that's where they taught us a little bit about everything). I got a little "formal" education, partied, dated, did drugs, tipped over police cars and got involved in the anti-war movement... that stuff is supposed to be on here in a different area, so I'll finish it there. Workplace In 1976 I moved to Orlando and worked for a lousy boss. I quit in 1977 and moved to Clearwater where I convinced Sears to accept me as a new department (Sears Coin, Stamp, & Precious Metals Department in the Countryside Mall). I expanded to include solid gold jewelry. I opened another shop in St. Petersburg FL, and partnered in a Long Island NY shop. I left Clearwater Florida in 1995 and moved back to Orlando where I had a private office within Sears. I sold my Clearwater business to my long-time trusted employee, and basically retired by January 2000. Now I still sell some collectibles on the internet, do some futures trading, design & host some non-profit websites, do some political activism, some newspaper photo shoots, and enjoy NOT doing much business... I like not having the responsibility, and prefer doing other things.
