Stephen's Story
I joined the Navy while I was a high school and shipped out to basic training weeks after graduation. Basic training was in Great Lakes, IL and with dental technician training in San Diego. I returned to Great Lakes for the next three years where I met my first wife. My next stop was Okinawa, Japan for the next few years where my daughter was born at the tail end of a typhoon. Orlando was my last duty station, the birthplace of my son, and divorce from my wife.
I joined the Navy Reserve and worked in fast food management and the banking industry. I enjoyed the military structure so decided to try the Army for a while. What a mistake that was. I did four years and was stationed in Fort Hauchuca, AZ for most of the time. I did go to Desert Storm with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment. After my discharge I returned to Orlando.

p Boys¿. In January 1996 I went back in the Navy Reserve, and in May of that year started dating my Pep Boys supervisor who is now my wife. I returned to active duty as a recruiter for the Navy Reserve in October of 2001. I have very recently completed my required time for my retirement and I am on a paid vacation until the end of October. I am currently attended Columbia College here in Orlando to pursue a degree in anything that won¿t take long. My children both live in Central Florida. My daughter is married and has given me a beautiful granddaughter who I borrow for short periods of time. I look forward to having some facial hair, what grows on my face no longer grows on my head. I have some house projects planned and a couple of vacations. Four baseball games, in four different cities, in five days, sounds good on paper. I will know in couple of weeks if it is.
