I joined the Navy while I was a high school and shipped out to basic training weeks after graduation. Basic training was in Great Lakes, IL and with dental technician training in San Diego. I returned to Great Lakes for the next three years where I met my first wife. My next stop was Okinawa, Japan for the next few years where my daughter was born at the tail end of a typhoon. Orlando was my last duty station, the birthplace of my son, and divorce from my wife. I joined the Navy Reserve and worked in fast food management and the banking industry. I enjoyed the military structure so decided to try the Army for a while. What a mistake that was. I did four years and was stationed in Fort Hauchuca, AZ for most of the time.
