n building Gumbo Buster Banner in November of 2011 shortly after the Navarro County Times closed its doors. GBB was an online only news website for Navarro County, launching in January of 2012, and fully running in March of 2012.
While maintaining the website I was offered the opportunity to undertake two more tasks in the summer of 2012. I began working parttime as the sports reporter for the Mexia Daily News and as the page designer for The Hubbard City News. In late December, Gumbo Buster Banner came to an end.
Another opportunity was added in June of 2013 when I began writing some for the Richland Chambers Area Progress. And as of September 2013 even more Freelance opportunities are coming to the table, so keep your eyes open!
Update: Started as the Sports Editor for the Mexia News on Feb. 3, 2014 after spending nearly two years as a part-time sports reporter for them.".
