Steve's Story
Life
I love to travel and am fortunate enough to get to travel a lot with my job as a scientific diver with NOAA. In the past two years, I've been to Samoa, Guam, Midway Island, Wake Island and spent over a month throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This spring and summer I'll head out to the Marshall Islands, then spend time around SE Alaska. It's not as fun as travelling for fun (which I also love to do, but who doesn't? Was just in Argentina this past fall), but it's close. It sometimes cracks me up that they pay me to dive in exotic places.
I'm a big sports fan. Especially UW Husky football and basketball (my alma mater twice over). Football is my favorite pro sport, but baseball is a close second (Go Mariners!). Music is still a huge part of my life too. I played trombone from 5th grade at Boston Harbor through jazz band at UW. I play a little guitar now, but I'm learning how to play the dru...Expand for more

I love kids but don't have any of my own. Most of my friends have at least one though, so I get a lot of kid time. My Godson, little Steven, is my best little buddy and namesake, but there are a bunch of others who are giving him a run for his money, namely Maggie Jane (MJ), Mia and my Goddaughter Hanna Moon.
My mom still lives in the house I grew up in out in Boston Harbor. My Pop is in Salem an my sister is in Portland. I live in Seattle and have since I left Olympia. I used to bartend in Fremont for a long time and made a lot of friends there. Now it's fun to go back out in the neighborhood and party with all of my friends from those days. I live in Ballard now.
The reunion last summer was a good time. It was great cataching up with people who have fallen off my radar. I look forward to catching up with more people before ten more years tick off the clock.
