Steve's Story
I was born in Salem Massachusetts, moved to Livermore, California at the age of 4 and married Renee McManus. We have 4 sons and one daughter (see pictures). My schools include Junction Ave., St. Michaels, Joe Mitchell, East Ave., Livermore High School and Chabot College. I was in the Navy from 1971 - 1977 and worked as a Corpsman (medic), pharmacy tech and in emergency rooms...was stationed in Taipei Taiwan for two years and ran into classmate Dave Mason half way around the world at a public swimming pool there. my dad, brother, sister and several other employees in a family graphic arts business for 7 years until it closed...scrambled for a job and ended up working for Kaiser in Walnut Creek as a pharmacy tech. where I met my wife Renee who was working there as a RN. Went back to school and got an AA in electronics and Computer Maintenance. Got hired at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and worked with computers, local area networks, backbone networks and in Cyber Security and retired December 1, 2014 after a 27 year career.
