Steve Myers:  

After graduating from Buffalo State I began a career as a professional swim coach, which at the time was my passion. After 13 years I finally burned out - a great career but I finally needed to spend more time with my own kids rather than other people's kids. I spent two years back in college - 1 undergrad, and one getting a Master's degree in radiation physics at Texas A&M University. Since then I got a job at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (in northern New Mexico) as a gamma ray spectroscopist with the Advanced Nuclear Technology group. We design state of the art radiation detectors and the algorithms that interpret the raw data. My main focus is the fight to prevent nuclear terrorism.
