Steve's Story
Since everybody put what they did after HS, I'll bore you with the progression of my life since HS.
After HS, I attended Harbor College to play baseball with Combs, Smith and Argo. I was named "Best Defensive Player" that year, but because of my lack of speed, arm and power, I decided to bag it and follow my heart to Lake Tahoe. I lived and worked there at a ski resort and learned to ski. The next ski season, I moved to June Mountain where I taught skiing for 3 years and waited tables. Knowing I needed to go back to school, I moved back to So.Ca. and attended El Camino college. I was fortunate enough to get accepted to UCLA which I graduated w/a BA in Sociology and Economics. I moved to Portland Oregon to pursue a Masters in Religion and Ethics and graduated in '94. I married in '91 and had 2 beautiful kids. Moved back to So.Ca and started a career in sales selling computer hardware. Unfortunately, after 14 yrs of marriage divorced.

ssed with 2 great kids 15 and 14 this year. They only live with me part time, on all the school breaks. Now, I have a job I love, selling organic whole food supplements to Drs. and alternative care practitioners. My son is a knucklehead just like me and is playing travel baseball even better than me! My daughter is a scholar and is a singer and drama queen, literally.
I'm living < 1 mi. from the beach in Carlsbad, close to where the guy died of a shark bite. I'm riding a road bicycle most of the year from Oceanside to Del Mar.
I do miss the comardarie of HS sports, Argo, Demo, Haaker, O'leary, Scruffy, Mullins, Smitty and DC and all the rest of the guys on our CIF champion team.
My sisters, Kathy and Stacie live pretty close and I see them at least monthly. They are busy with their kids and lives. My Mom lives close as well, struggling with her health. Since I wrote last, Mom has passed away Oct '08.
I finally learned the true meaning of life, being intimately connected to my Maker Jesus Christ, and loving people (not things) unashamedly.
