Steve's Story
Life
After graduating USC in 1974 with a BS & MBA, I entered the business world for 26 years living in L.A. 5 yrs, Houston 3 yrs, New Orleans for 8 yrs & Florida for 10. Some ups & downs in business but, mostly highly successfull & exciting overall.
I started & owned 4 different companys in Houston, New Orleans & Tampa until 1995. Each one individually became the #1 nationwide in retail sales companies via their product & the employees I hired & trained. Spent the next 5 years as a business consultant weekly to firms across the country. I was yearly in the top 10 nationally as a consultant with the International Profit Associates, Chicago, IL.
My wife died in 1999 from a heart attack out of the blue. My step son turned 21 in 2006 & is still living in Fl. In 2000, I mentally acknowledged I was tired & bored of the business world & decided on a second career to become a DR. I got my business Ph.D. in 2004 & my D.C. in 2006. I'm now a chiropractor & also became a certified sports nutritionist (C.S.N.) in 2009. Recently, I added a new aspect to my business which eliminates an indi...Expand for more
vidual with obesity. One of my newest patients is a 25 year old male who started at 470 lbs. After 2 months, he's dropped 83 lbs. My goal is to get him to 180 lbs in a year & a half. I'm doing it all with food items eaten 5 times daily.
In 1997, I was trying to think of something different & special to get my father for his birthday & oddly remembered a front page sport's picture in the LA Times of my dad standing next to Arnold Palmer as he followed him to victory at the LA Open in 1967. I got a copy of it from UCLA, expanded to a huge picture, contacted Arnie in Orlando who said he'd be happy to sign it for dad & wish him a happy birthday. I had it beautifully framed. It was a great birthday present. My father passed away from cancer in 2002 after winning the Houston Senior Olympics in 1999. My mom just died accidently in March 2010. So, since I've lost both my parents, after I take care of her estate, I may move back to Florida or Calif. which I prefer way over Texas. I can be reached on Yahoo. I pray all is going well for you...I sure miss ALL my friends from high school!!!
