Steve's Story
Life
My siblings, Nancy, Marta, Sally and Susan all live here in AZ, where we buried our 92+ year old mother in '09. Our brother Paul lives in Indiana.
After graduating from ASU in Elem. Education, I taught 5th and 6th grades in the Washington School District for 28 years. I met my wife, Sue, in the WESD and had 22 great years with her before cancer took her. I have since met a Cortez grad, Kristen, from the late 70's and have been enjoying marriage again since 2006.
I retired from full-time teaching after Sue's passing and have devoted almost full time to various volunteer interests in the Peoria, AZ area. I'm currently...Expand for more

I have two children in graduate school/college, a cabin porch in Heber, AZ to enjoy, and no major problems. I enjoy music, reading, walking, travel when I can and reconnecting with former classmates, students, teaching cohorts, and church or political friends. After serving six years on the Peoria City Council from '89-'95, I tried to get into the AZ State Senate in '04 and '06, but lost. You should see the mess the state is in with the "winners" in charge! By the way, the other person in the "now" pic is my new spouse. The "then" pic shows my two younger sisters.
