Steve's Story
Steve Rita is a third degree black belt in Small Circle Jiu-Jitsu under 10th degree black belt and founder of SCJ, Professor Wally Jay and 8th degree black belt Ed Melaugh. Steve has been training for 28 years and also holds a black belt in Shorin Ryu Karate and has taught martial arts seminars across the country and in Portugal. England with over 600 fights. Some of the many events Steve has worked include Combat Zone, WCF, Full Force, Reality Fighting, CFL, EFI, AFO and WFL. Among the many fighters Steve has reffed are current UFC fighters Dan Lauzon, Thiago Alves, Marcus Davis, Tandem McCrory, to name a few. Steve¿s experience with mixed martial events goes beyond refereeing. He has also served as scorekeeper, judge and timekeeper for numerous events.
