Steve's Story
Steve is from Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is married. His schools include Bassick High School. He later attended Columbia University. After earning his BS Chemical Engineering & MS Applied Chemistry, he worked for 7 years at Bird Machine Company in South Walpole, Massachusetts, a leading manufacturer of specialized centrifuge and filtration systems for the chemical, environmental, mining, pharmaceutical and food industries, eventually serving as National Environmental Market Manager. He left Bird to manage nationally the Pollution Control Division of Allied Colloids, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Allied Colloids Ltd (Bradford, UK), and later was President & CEO of Humboldt Decanter Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Kloeckner Humboldt Deutz (Cologne, Germany) where his subsidiar...Expand for more
y was responsible for all North American business. Later he served as President of Spirac, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Spirac Pty (Perth, Australia). All of these businesses were systems suppliers for water and air pollution control facilities, chemical processing, mining and food processing.
Finally and until his retirement, he owned and managed Silver Industrial Resources. Inc. in Atlanta, GA where he and his wife live, about 25 miles north of Atlanta.. He has 3 children, 3 grandchildren and a Newfoundland named Floyd.
Steve and his wife of 51 years love to travel. In 2022 they visited Paris, Venice, Florence and Rome; In April and May of 2023, they visited Amsterdam (Netherlands, followed by 3 fantastic weeks in Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana).
