Steve's Story
Sharon and I live in Metamora Illinois. We have four children, eleven grand-children, and fourteenth great-grand-children. We retired from education in 1994. I attended Moody Bible Institute and became a hospital chaplain. I later became a pastor at Riverside Community Church for ten years. Sharon also worked at the church in pastoral care and Christian counselling. We retired from the church in 2010. She still loves being a substitute teacher and working in the business of our son in law. I also work in the business of our son in law.

We have moved to a retirement cottage in Metamora. I am the staff Chaplai...Expand for more
n. Sharon continues to be the office manager at our son- in- law's business..
We both agree the most profound happening in our lives has been making Jesus our personal savior. We are blessed. The hand of God has been put upon all our children and grand - children. God has used us in working with homeless people and so many varied ministries. we are in awe of how he uses common people like us for His glory.
I can say without a doubt, Leaf River was the best experience of my life during the first twenty years of my life. What a blessing during the last few years to hook up with Merle Bicksler and his brother Denny at the state basketball tournaments. Merle fills me in on all the news from L.R.
I pray all is well with you and Jesus is in your life. (Jer. 29:11; Jer. 29:13)
