Steve's Story
After graduation I moved back to NJ to attend auto mech school in Phila, PA. I worked as an auto mech for a few years and went into industry after the oil embargo (remember that). In 1990 I moved my family to GA to be closer to my wife's family. I continued to work for DuPont Pharmaceuticals until 2002 when we were bought out by a larger Pharma Company. Out of work at age 51 is no fun. I finally got hired to work in the local county jail and was soon after sent to the Police Academy to become a certified LEO. I worked for another year or so and was assigned to the Courthouse and currently work as a Court Security Officer which I enjoy very much. Retirement will come eventually!!!
I have been married to a Jersey Girl for 39 years and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. All the children live close by and we are enjoying life. Kathy and I both ride motorcycles and enjoy riding in the beautiful mountains of GA, NC, TN, SC and AL. I...Expand for more
n 2009 we rode our bikes to Vicksburg, MS and camped for about a week.
Seems like 1969 was just yesterday but the world has certainly changed greatly since then. I have very fond memories of Fitch and the Class of 1969.

Update July 2020-What a year 2020 has become. My oldest Grandchild has missed her High School Graduation festivities. Covid-19 has caused havoc and Social Unrest has dominated our daily lives. We will push on. On a personal note. I was very disappointed that we were unable to attend our reunion last fall. Family responsibilities took precedent . I finally retired as a Deputy Sheriff effective July 1. I served for almost 18 years and had the honor of being the oldest Deputy on the force at age 68. I can still hold my own with the young guns but I felt it was time to call it a career. We still ride motorcycles and enjoy camping with our two Yorkies so we will stay busy. Hope everyone stays healthy and safe.
