Steve's Story

Life: Retired after 22 years as an Army Intelligence and Space Operations officer (Lieutenant Colonel). Served with Special Operations forces in the Balkans, and more times in Afghanistan and Iraq than I care to recount. Currently working for Special Operations Command, Joint Forces Command, Suffolk, VA. Living in Chespeake, VA (20 min from the beach). Education: BA from WVU class of '83. Master's degrees in Public Administration ('88) and Strategic Intelligence, Defense Intelligence College ('94). Enjoy whitewater rafting the New and Gauley rivers in WV (any takers/other recommendations?) and other adventures as they present themselves (parasailing, skiing, diving, deep sea fishing, etc.). Stephanie was a highly competitve figure skater for 12 years until 2007 when she decided to devote her energies to becoming a highly competivive gymnast. As a Freshman she earned a starting position for every event on her Varsity High School Gymnastice Team. She is currently #2 in the state at Level 9 (level 10 is the highest and Olympic qualifying).
