Steve's Story
Life
After graduating in '74,I went to work developing skills as a mechanic, not too much excitement
until spring of '77 when I took up
skydiving at Spaceland(League City).I made 300+ freefalls in
about 2 years,yeehaa,loads of fun.
Married my first wife in'79 and moved to San Antonio in '80.We had
a daughter in '81,divorced in'84.
Stayed in S.A. and discovered the
hill country.Began studying music
at S.A.College in '84, started
playing gigs a few years later.
I married my second wife in '89,
that lasted until '93. I'm still single and living in San Antonio.Still doing mechanic work part time repairing and restoring antique Gravely Tractors.I recently made a career change into repairing power wheel chairs and scooters for
disabled people.A rewarding job with its share of challenges,
to say the least!

25/2008 Well, a lot of things have changed since then. The job working on wheelchairs didn't pan out,
so I went back to twisting wrenches for a few more years. I beat my head against the wall (figuratively)
trying to decide on a career change, and somehow got into truck driving. Yep, I'm out there terrorizing the highways in an 18 wheeler. Been driving since Dec. of '06 and really enjoy it. It's great getting to
go out and see the country and get paid for it. in the last 20 months, I've been through 36 states and driven about 250,000 miles. I moved from San Antonio to Silsbee, Texas in May of this year and
took on a dedicated account hauling paper to Houston.
If you are between Beaumont and Houston on I-10 or
Hwy 90 you just might see me out there. I drive a big
orange truck that says Schneider on it.
