I've been blessed for sure. I had a successful career as a teacher and aquatics coach at Royal HS in Simi Valley, Ca, and am into my second year of retirement from that gig. Now I'm keeping busy doing the one thing I've always truly loved...going to the beach and getting paid for it! I just finished my 50th summer as an LA Co ocean lifeguard, working in the Northern Section-Zuma, Malibu,etc. I work full time in the summers and part time in the winter when the weather is nice and they need more guards. It motivates me to stay in shape and pursue my passion for surfing, scuba diving, and lifetime fitness. I'm also blessed to be married for 37 years to my beautiful wife and soulmate, Ann. I have two awesome sons, now in their mid-twenties who grew up going to the beach with me every day in the summers and who eventually played water polo for me in high school, earned All American honors and went on to play the sport in college on scholarships.
