Steven K.'s Story
Life
Well, I know how interested I have been to know where and how everyone I went to High School with, is...so I thought I probably should put something in here. I haven't left town since graduation, I know...real exciting...lol...!!! I didn't go to college anywhere, I started out at State Farm Ins. in shipping and recieving and then went to Lafayette Tent and Awning and then worked in the Carpenter's Union and then finally got a "real" career with the Lafayette Fire Dept. and I am now serving as a company Officer and EMT. I also teach fire,EMS, and CPR. I've been married twice, "technically"...lol...the first time in '84 to a McCutcheon - '81 Grad. That only lasted 20 months on paper. I then got married to a super lady that graduated 2nd in her class of '80 from WestCentral HS near Francisville/Medaryville, IN and she works as a Reg. Resp. Therapyst at St. E Hosp. as a Supervisor/Assist. Dept. Head. We have 2 wonderful kids. Our daughter, Megan is a young Soph. at Harrison and...Expand for more
an A/B honor student (took after Mom, I know!) and a pretty good athelete too (my side...lol...) and our Son, Parker is a 6th grader at East Tipp MS and is a great kid but struggles to stay focused on the books as he should but does very well when he trys. He also enjoys Scouts and the outdoors and football and wrestling and seems to have given up on the baseball and basketball. We have a pretty active life and do a lot of running with the kids things as everyone else does, and we are active in the community and our church, Buck Creek United Methodist. Well, I know it's not very exciting, but our life is rewarding. I work with Tim and Todd Ford from school and they are both Company Officers also. They came on shortly after I did 20 plus years ago....whoooo...only 12 to 15 more yrs til retirement...lol...!!! That's about it for now, hope to hear from anybody from the '77 to '81 classes from Harrison when you get a chance. It would be great to catch up! Take care til then, "Mitch"
