Steven's Story
Steven is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. and attended Santa Fe High School from 1966 to 1970. Steven received a BA in music performance from The University of New Mexico 1n 1975. He was a member of the United States Navy Band Pearl Harbor Hawaii 1976-77 subbing occasionally with the Honolulu Symphony and Ballet. He was later transferred to the United States Naval Academy Band Annapolis MD and served from 1977 t0 1987. fter the Navy he spent his time freelancing in the Baltimore/Washington region and teaching at Levine Music (formerly The Levine School of Music). In 2002 Steven joined the 257th Army Band in Washington DC serving from 2002 to 2014. Retiring in 2014 from a 21 year combined military commitment to the Navy and Army (..he's terribly conflicted during football season..), he moved back to Santa Fe and currently works at the O'Keeffe Museum.
