I always wanted to be a business man when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. Because I took elective courses like business law, business math and business communications at Waltrip. After graduating from Waltrip I broadened my business knowledge by taking other business related courses at various colleges. All work and no play makes a boring boy is a popular phrase that I took to heart. After working as a manager at a loan office in Houston between 1974 and 1976, I decided to move to Colorado where I worked as a manager for a factory outlet store, a ski resort and the Army National Guard. Most of my off time was spent in the mountains biking, canoeing, hiking and skiing. I met a St. Louis woman at the ski resort and moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1981. I worked for ATT/SWBT as a service representative until the ATT/MCI divestiture in 1985 when I started a small aquarium supply company that did very well through 1998 when we divorced and I moved back to Colorado with my son. After another 5 years of residence in Colorado It became very clear to me that the older I got, the more sensitive I became to extreme cold. So my son and I moved back to Houston, TX in 2002. From 2002 through today I have worked as a building inspector, disaster relief inspector and I own a food concession. In 2005 I met Anne, whom I married in 2006. We have resided in SW Houston in the Willow Bend neighborhood through today. My hobby is parrot breeding and restoring old cars. I bred roller pigeons as a child in cub scouts. So I extended my interest in birds to breed the parrots that I have collected over the years. I have bred Umbrella Cockatoo...Expand for more
