Grandpa's fairy tails lit up my early childhood. When grandpa died, mother showed me the kitchen radio could tell stories. Sometimes older cousins and aunts would want to talk in the kitchen. Then I couldn't liste...Expand for more
n to the radio. A crystal-set receiver kit became my favorite Cub Scout project. It let me listen to stories and music when in my room. That hooked me! Radio and electronics became my hobby and work from then on.
