My Spouse
We initially met in Texas during the summer of 1998 and married in March 1999.
My Kids
Suzanne, 35, received her M Ed from NM State in May 2003 and lives in Milwaukee with her husband Ilias Maltezos. She had a son, Max, on December 15, 2008.
Paul, 33, left the US Army in December 2003 after service in Baghdad, Iraq with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment. He works as a civilian contractor on Fort Polk, Louisiana. Proud father of my grandson Jaycob who was born Sept 14, 2001.
My Career
After working as a chemical engineer for nearly twenty years, I retired from M&M/Mars as well as Westfalia Separator Company, but stayed active in the US Army Reserve. I was activated with my Reserve unit on December 1, 2002 and served with the US Army Engineers in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I returned to the Sta...Expand for more
tes on July 4, 2003 and was released from active duty on August 1, 2003. I worked as a contractor for Homeland Security in Milwaukee until July 2005. I was again recalled to active duty on July 24, 2005 as a Lieutenant Colonel of Engineers reporting to Camp Shelby, MS and then Fort McCoy, WI to train mobilized units deploying to the Middle East. I was released from active duty in December 2006 and retired from the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in March 2007. We moved to DeRidder, Louisiana and I worked for a defense contractor at Fort Polk until the end of 2007. I have since entered law enforcement and am currently a Deputy for the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office.
Deb has taken a early childcare position in DeRidder where we live. She is also working on a couple pet projects at home, including the draft for a children's book.
