Steven's Story
Northwood was Steve’s third high school, where he spent only his senior year. After earning an undergraduate degree at College Park, he taught Biology in Montgomery County before beginning a 28 year career as a federal criminal investigator.

Later, Steve was a Regional Inspector General for Investigation for the US Department of Education. Steve served as a career reservist in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, earning a Master’s degree along the way. ncluded Germany, sub-Saharan Africa, Belgium, and France. After retiring from the Air Force, he taught for eight years at high schools in Maryland and Virginia.
Steve has two children by his former wife and 16 grandchildren (that’s not a misprint). Since 2004 Steve has been happily married to his college sweetheart Joanne, who he has known since he was 15 and she was 13 years old. When someone asks Steve what he does now that he's retired for the third time, he replies, "I do what Joanne tells me to do." And Joanne says, "That's not true!"
Approaching his 78th birthday, some ask how Steve seems to be in decent shape for a person his age. He replies, "Two things. I mind my own business and have resisted the urge to jump out of perfectly good airplanes."
