Steve's Story
Wow! I hardly know where to begin. After graduating in 1978 I worked full time for a few years at a local sand plant. I did a couple of 'stints' with Godspell after graduation, which eventually took me to England in 1984. From '81 to '88 I was a full-time singer/songwriter, traveling all around North America, the UK, Europe and the then Soviet Union doing concerts in churches, schools, prisons, nursing homes, town halls, etc. Married a girl from Belfast, Northern Ireland (Connie) in June 1986. In 1988 we went to a Bible College/Seminary on the Swiss/German border for four years. During that time I pastored a very small international Church of the Nazarene in Effretikon, Switzerland where I served for 2 and a half years. Our first daughter, Shannon Noelle was born in Germany. In 1992 we moved to Edinburgh Scotland where I pastored a Nazarene church for seven years and set up the very first Christian radio station in Scotland. Our second daughter, Bethany Joy was born in 1992. In 1999 we moved to Northern Ireland, where I was pastor of the Lurgan Church of the Nazarene for 11 years. M...Expand for more
oved back to the States in 2010 and I was a pastor for almost 8 years in the Washington DC Metro area. After over 4 decades I'm still passionate about my relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the course of the years, I have kept my hand in music as much as possible. I've recorded 7 albums (don't get excited! I'm not famous or anything - they're all very low budget, independent, etc), including a kid's album, and a 'duet' album with my wife. All original stuff. Some of my music can be heard and/or downloaded on a number of websites, including CDBaby, iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, etc. Be warned, there's a crass British comedian who shares my nomenclature. I'm not him.
I'd love to hear from you - whether you're from Point Pleasant Beach (Kindergarten - 4th grade) or Millville (5th - 12th grade) or anywhere else. Hey! Thanks for reading all this drivel. We must have been GREAT friends if you've read on this far. Please don't be offended if I don't remember you though - it doesn't mean I didn't like you. Heck! I liked everybody! It just means that, like you, I'm getting 'old and forgetful'.
