Caren's Story
Life
After graduating from Edgren High in '91, flew to Biloxi, MS where my mom was undergoing breast cancer treatment (I had stayed with friends at Misawa so that I could graduate there, a decision will always regret since I wasn't with Mom during her first rounds; she's fighting stage 4 cancer today and doing fairly well); Dad was stationed at Keesler AFB.
Meet Steve (now hubby) at Rodenburg Church of Christ; he was stationed at the Seabee Base (I forget the formal name now...). First date: 08/14/1991. Married: 08/14/1992. :-) And Valentine's Day is our 6 ...Expand for more

The Navy moved us to San Diego in 1994; I worked for Coastal Marine Services for many years, then Alcala Waterproofing a very short time in 2000, then License-To-Kill Termite and Pest Control until 2004.
Steve had exited the Navy in 1997, staying in construction in the San Diego area. By 2004, he convinced me to leave the big beautiful expanse of San Diego, with all of it shopping and restaurants, and move to Eureka, CA. There's not much here, folks. Steve had lived for a few years and had often talked of moving back here. And so here we are!
