Steven's Story
Life
The first thing I did after graduation was shave my head. I've kept it clean ever since. I hacked around North Jersey for a while and then joined the Coast Guard. Guess I liked it there because I spent the next 25 years in that organization. Notable events I participated in: The shut down of Governors Island, NY, the start up of the new base in Staten Island, watched a volcano vent over my cutter while a quarter mile away from the cone(!), OPSAIL2K in NY Harbor, but the thing I get the most questions about was being out in "The Perfect Storm". I married Theresa Whitney of Park Ridge in 1981, have four great kids one girl and three boys, the oldest, Megan, is a Cantor at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Maywood. Steve, now 20 YO, is attending Wagner College on Staten Island, Greg is 17 and will graduate from Hackensack High next spring, and Nick will graduate from grade school next spring.
Theresa has a Masters in Early Childhood Special Ed and we just celebrated our 24th Wedding anniversary. This file updated 31MAY2005.
