Steven's Story
Life
I recently purchased a new home in Washington Township and was married to my beautiful wife Justine on 10/2/04 at Scotland Run in Williamstown. Our honeymoon was at Sandals in St. Lucia. I don't have any kids yet, because we want to wait a year or so.
School
Although I regret it, I dated the same person throughout middle and high school, so didn't have a crush on anyone. I probably would have participated in a few extracurricular activities and sports to get a full scholarship to avoid college expenses. The last week of school a couple of us had the bright idea to run through the halls with super soakers and soak a few teachers for payback. Needless to say we were almost expelled and not allowed to participate in graduation.
College
All I was interested in college was graduating with the highest GPA possible, which is the norm. Although I did learn quite a bit along the way, I knew it was extremely important to have an impressive resume to find the right j...Expand for more
ob in an extremely competitive market place at the time, especially in the financial services industry. Once I graduated and landed my first job, I was definitely glad that I took this approach because it paid off.
Workplace
For the last 7 years, I have worked for a leading software company in the financial services industry, Advent Software, which develops software including portfolio management, trade order management, contact relationship management, partnership accounting, etc. I have worked with hundreds of investment firms, including asset managers, banks and trusts, hedge funds, and fund administrators. A few of the firms I have worked with include some of the largest investment firms in the world, including Bank of New York, Credit Suisse First Boston, DB Alex Brown, Fifth Third Bank, Fleet Bank, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, National City Bank, Paine Webber, Pershing, SEI, etc. I have a ton of contacts in the industry, so let me know if you need assistance.
