Steven's Story
Hello all, I'm excited to get back in touch with everyone. I'm doing well and consider myself fortunate to be employeed. I've been with the Portland Veterans Affairs, but I work at the Vancouver facility. I've been with them for 4+ years as a housekeeper and find it very rewarding working with all the veterans. I've made some major lifestyle changes for the better. The old lifestyle cost me my mytrol valve in my heart, I now have a pig valve. I was a patient at the portland va hospital for 30 days on oxycodone and constant IV's...Expand for more
. Then I was an in-patient at the vancouver va for 30 days on oxycodone and constant IV's. One real fortunate thing about the pain meds and being tied to my bed was it was easy to give up smokes. I'm really glad what I went through was so extreeme, it's made recovery very easy for me. Other than that it's been pretty ho-hum ha-ha. Anyway I hope everyone elses lives have been different.
