Steven's Story
I transfered to Estancia HS in my Junior year in 1983 from Ocean View HS, so you may not remember me. After high school I began worked in construction for about ten years. I got married to the love of my life after accidentally setting off a fire alarm during a remodeling project. Construction work got slow in the 1990's so we traveled across the country like gypsies following the jobs. Ah good times. We eeked our way through the tough times in hope for greater things. self through the sheriff's academy and began working in the county jail. This was not exciting like as "Miami Vice" but it paid the bills and helped me raise a family. We raised two beautifully children. One is a registered Nurse and the other an Army drill instructor. We now have two grandchildren and I love it. I quit the sheriff's department and joined the department of corrections. I now supervise 128 inmate fire fighters and travel the state of California to quench wildland fires.
