After graduating from Del Mar in 1967, I went to work as an office clerk for the Pacific Telephone Company in San Jose. I moved out of my parents' home at 19 into my own apartment and soon shared an apartment with one of my good friends. As a single girl, I dated and went out with friends to parties and dances at the EM Club at Moffett Field and the Warehouse on South Seventh Street. I met a lot of nice people working and dating.
I got married in 1971, when I was 21, to someone I met at a church dance. Since he and I both wanted me to quit working and stay home with his 7 year old son, I became a housewife, homemaker and instant mother. I had 3 more children in that marriage, two daughters and a son..

last child, my son, who I was still raising. I ran my day care for five years caring for infants and toddlers.
During this time, in 1995, I married someone I had met during my senior year in high school and who has always been dear to my heart. In 1999, after my son was older, I went back to work for the school district. I am now at home, enjoying family, pets and hobbies such as working on my family ancestry, scrapbooking or photographing, crocheting, gardening, reading, walking and attending as many of our grandchildrens' events as possible.
Between the two of us, Dave and I have five grown kids, my three and each of our step-sons, 13 grandchildren, ages ranging from 33 years old to 12, almost 13 years old. I lost one of my dear granddaughters in December of 2019 . Her name was Sarah. And she was only 23 years old. We also have three great-grandsons, ages ranging from 11, 9 and 6 and two great granddaughters, ages ranging from 5 to 1 1/2..
