Mike's Story
Well, didn't get to graduate with my friends because my mother was so ill. I did go back and finish school. Was in USNR for 2 years and received Honorable D/C. Went to college and became a Critical Care Nurse/Paramedic/Instructor/Examiner/Coordinator for the State of Texas. Taught Paramedicine for a few years, then went to the Police Academy and was also a Police Officer for a while. Didn't care for Law Enforcement that much in the small county where I worked. Wasn't there to stomp on peoples rights, so went back to the Medical field. Texas EMS Magazine published 2 articles of mine in the late 90's. pen to them. Used to tour the southern states with the wife who sang. She charted 4 times with songs we co-wrote and recorded. She put out 4 albums that did fair before we stopped traveling. Have 3 children, 1 son, 2 daughters. Am now retired due to heart problems, but am as active as I can be in The American Legion/Legion Riders and Patriot Guard. Also volunteer with abused children.
My favorite way to relax is getting on my 06' 1600 Vulcan Nomad and riding free. I do some websites for friends and our Legion Post to keep my sanity. I was a terrible workaholic for over 30 years, so I try to keep busy with things I can do.
My grandkids love riding with grandpa on his Bike, and grandpa gets a kick out of that too.
