Amy's Story

Life I cannot believe it has been twenty years since the class of 1987 graduated together! Our 20th class reunion was a lot of fun, and it was wonderful to see all of you. For those of you I did not see at our reunion, I am living in Michigan with my husband Daniel and my three daughters. I am happy in my life and I thank God for all that has been attained. I work full time in our private practices and I am sure to make time to enjoy quality moments with my family and close friends. I would enjoy hearing from any of you that have visited my profile. Drop me a line or two and tell me what you've been up to these past twenty years! Click on the photos file and you can view more pic's. Take care, Amy School One of the best memories I have about high school is our track team. Going to state and placing was an incredible highlight for me. It empowered me to be the best I can be in all I do in life. I enjoyed being part of a team working together to win. Now, two of my daughters are avid track runners and have made it to State in their running abilities! What are you all doing now? MaryJo, Stacey, Leslie, Tammy, Deana, Melonie? I also enjoyed cheerleading for three years. Liz..you were the greatest. You still are someone very dear to me. You shine like the sun! Journalism was so much fun. All of you were an inspiration to me. So real, so creative, so brilliant. I liked the fact that we were a tight team. Loved the laughter we all shared. Many of you are truly gifted! Janet - I will forever cherish the time we spent together at university journalism camp. Steve - you never ceased to amaze me with your resourcefulness and creativity. I remember our group of "How to say No". I had a tremendous amount of fun with our group and presenting to under classmen both in our school and outside schools. Remember the live show we all did together on the local channel? Every time I hear Tina Turner's song "What's Love Got To Do With It" I think of the slide show we p...Expand for more
ut together. LOL As for teachers that made a lasting impression on me: Mrs. Riley for truly believing in me and telling me so. I will never forget you, and I will always respect you. Mrs.Dombrowski for instilling your healthy lifestyle on me. I thank you for teaching me how to add quality years to my life. Mr. Burza for giving me laughter and reminding all of us to not take ourselves too serious. Mrs. Pontious for mentoring me in so many ways. You taught me how to be confident when presenting. I also thank you for trusting me to babysit your children. Mr. Cole you were the best coach I ever had. I enjoyed seeing your smile when our team kicked butt!! You believed in all of us equally. It was quite a thrill for me to see you at this years STATE TRACK MEET -Where my daughter placed in her event. Mrs. Foley...you taught me kindness and mercy. Mrs. Knight for your creativity, spunk and what you did to help someone shine. Mr. King for bringing understanding to all of my high school years. You did a stellar job as principle. LeighAnne Maxwell - I will never forget that you were one of the first friends I met when I moved to Sanford. I'll never forget the day in 8th grade when we skipped school and stayed home....getting caught and missing out on the Spring dance where one of us would have gotten crowned princess! You will be remembered as my dear friend always. And...if I could skip school with you again and stay home playing games and talking - I would do it all again! Mary Jo - You will always be remembered. Never forgotten. Remember eating gummy bears nonstop? It is because of you that I met my husband. Thank you for being my fun-loving friend. I miss you. Liz... You are my forever friend... never surrender! Sherry - I think of you often and wonder how you are. We made many memories... Cheers to the class of 1987 and all the other friends that have gotten to know me. There are so many of you that have left footprints in my heart. Thank you for your friendship. -Amy
