Peggy's Story
Life
After high school graduation, I moved to Garland and began working at Texas Instruments. Moved through the assembly line work into office work and began college in 1976 at Richland Community College. I completed my associate degree in managment in two years while working full time and raising my two children alone.
At Texas Instruments I worked on the first TI hand held calculator and the first digital watch. I worked at EDS for one year - reconstruting the payroll records of the employees caught in the Iran overthrow of the Shau so they could pay their taxes.

I am currently self employed, and design and decorate events and parties with Balloons. I attended floral training at the Benz School of Floral Design at Texas A& M. Then learned Balloon Decorating in Florida.I have earned CBA, Certified Balloon Artist. Since then I have participated in major balloon events around the country and enjoy my work.
I have taught floral design at Kilgore Community College and worked as Floral designer at Sam's and Michael's. I much prefer working on my own. I have relocated to the Houston area and am setting up my business with the help of my daughter.
I am curious to see what the next part of my life will bring.
